WHO WE ARE
RASMI Relief & Development Organization (RASMI) is non-profit and non-governmental organization dedicated to provide emergency humanitarian services to Somali communities suffering from shocks of natural disaster and climate changes, while developing capacities and resilience of the Somali communities to withstand the shocks and emergencies in the future. The purpose of the establishment of this organization is to enable communities have increased equal access to humanitarian services including health, nutrition, WASH, Livelihood/Food security, Education and Protection, with focus on women and youth empowerment.
WHAT WE DO

— Advocacy
Advocating for marginalized population, helping them gain the strength to put their lives back together through provision of adequate health/nutrition, WASH, education, protection, and livelihood services.

— Disaster Response
Through delivering immediate lifesaving support and building local capacities to withstand shocks in emergencies.

— Health and nutrition
Improve health and nutrition status of women, children and elderly people through integrated health/nutrition programs at primary health care level.

— Education and protection
Provide vocational/skills training, empower youth (girls, boys) on skills and ensure women and youth have capacities, more employable and with more positive future opportunities.

— Emergency and Livelihood/Food security
Ensuring long term food security and income generation through sustainable agriculture practice, livestock management and improvements of irrigation infrastructures.
06.
— Water sanitation and hygiene
Ensuring access to safe drinking water, promotion of hygiene sanitation services, awareness on good hygiene practice and effective communication on behavior change.
